During the 2022 Easter celebration, our HFGM team took the message of “The Cross and the Resurrection of Jesus Christ” to the children of Fuveme. These are a people who have been displaced by a form of sea erosion, known as Tidal Waves. This village used to be a large fishing community which attracted tourism along the coast of Ghana. But now they only have devastation and destruction. It is a place of hopelessness and helplessness.
Yes, there were tears and joy among these children as we celebrated Easter with them. A few adults snuck in to be part of the celebration. The elders of this once thriving fishing community could not express their sincere thanks enough for the HFGM team coming in to share the HOPE that is found in Christ Jesus with the community. At the end, over 170 children raised their hands to accept Jesus Christ as Lord and savior.
